Outdoor Lawn Wedding at Glenburn Estates in Riverdale, New Jersey

With three weddings this upcoming month I figured it was high time that I made a blog post about a full wedding day. I’ve showed snippets of this wedding across my social media platforms but I had yet to actually do a full gallery. Shame on me, seriously, because this wedding was amazing.

Katie + Steve and their families were the sweetest and most laid back clients I’ve worked with to date. Their positive attitudes made the day run so smoothly and the atmosphere was truly inviting to everyone. Their wedding was full of love and simplicity which really highlighted the covenant that these two lovebirds were stepping into.

The day started out with the girls getting ready where the reception would be held later. I seriously could not have asked for a more perfect set up. The house was charming and allowed for beautiful sunlight through the windows. Once everyone was ready we loaded up in vehicles and headed over to Lambert’s Castle, which is also where Katie and Steve had their engagement pictures taken. I ran up to meet Steve to make sure he didn’t turn around and spoil their first look. Once everyone was in place we had Steve turn and look at Katie and the reaction was adorable. They couldn’t get into each others arms quick enough. Their smiles and giggles didn’t stop for the rest of the night.

After we had some time with them to take their portraits we headed around the park to meet up with the Bridesmaids and Groomsmen to take some group photos before we jetted off to the church for their wedding ceremony which was just as sweet as the couple themselves.

The reception was to take place under a large white tent on the grounds where the girls got ready earlier that morning. The weather had been perfect all day but right before the reception was about to start it rained cats and dogs. No, I mean it poured like cats and dogs. Everyone took shelter in either the barn for cocktail hour or under any overhang they could find. Thankfully the rain cleared up within 15-20 minutes and the party was able to get started!

This crew really knew how to dance the night away. I couldn’t help myself from bopping around the dance floor and throwing in a few YMCA’s. It was seriously infectious. Their evening was filled with boisterous sing-along moments but I think my two favorite moments would have to include Katie’s father-daughter dance and her grandparents winning the anniversary dance. It’s those most tender moments that really make me love what I do.

Katie + Steve dashed away that night with hope, love, promise, and adventure for their new life together and I wish them all the best. Happy marriage Katie + Steve and thank you for allowing me be a part of your special day!

And thank you to Tori Petrillo Photography for allowing me to come along and second shoot on this magical day!
