Oh.my.gosh. I knew photographing families was a new favorite of mine but photographing families in the studio is like a whole new level of joy for me. I am so glad that Lauren found me and reached out to me about photographing her family. With each sides of their families spread out across the U.S. I knew these photos would be of such an importance to them. They wanted to be able to use these photos to share how fast little Hendrix is growing and how much that they, a family of three, are enjoying their time with one another.
We originally had plans to have our session outside but the weather wasn’t exactly the most cooperative so while I was wracking my brain about what in the world we could do I thought, “Hey! Why not have the session at the studio?!” I’m surprised it took me as long as it did to come up with the idea but once I did and proposed it to Lauren it all fit perfectly. The studio was the perfect spot to let little Hendrix run around, expel some energy, but also capture those giggles and expressions. Having the bed set up was perfect for a rambunctious toddler boy to jump on and tousle around on. Good for all those airplane landings from Dad 😉
One of the things that I love the most about the studio is how I can blend a lot of super candid lifestyle photos with one of our amazing backdrops for a more portrait style look. It really shows a lot of different sides and expression of the subject and I’m able to deliver a huge variety to you (my clients!) for a very rounded out gallery!
With the winter months upon us you can still have family photo opportunities in a warm and inviting space and dressed up to your taste! Click right HERE to book your session today!
