Rocky riverbed adventurous engagement session
This rocky riverbed adventurous engagement session happened because of the mutual trust between JD, Kelly, and myself. It makes my heart so incredibly happy when couples can trust my vision. During a day of location scouting Erik and I were spending some time exploring the banks of the Susquehanna River. The river was unusually low with the absent activity of rain. The rock beds were exposed and accessible to walk out onto due to the lack of water in the river.
When Kelly saw the photos of how the light during a sunset hit the river she was immediately on board with the idea and so was born the idea of their rocky riverbed adventurous engagement session!
On the day of the engagement session JD & Kelly showed up looking perfect. Their outfits were exactly what you would expect for a crisp fall day.
The foliage was beyond perfect. Even though we were only three days away from November when their engagement session took place the fall colors were still showing off.
As we waited for the sun to hit that perfect angle we spent our time among the large rocks and surfaces. Erik and Taz accompanied as they normally do and Taz of course had to make his appearance with the couple.
As JD & Kelly climbed and jumped and kept on being their adorable selves the light was getting better and better. As we started to draw our session to a close Kelly busted out her prop…a bottle of champagne!
I can’t wait for their intimate wedding this February and to capture more sweet moments between the two of them!
