Slide Rock State Park evening photo session in Sedona, Arizona

This Slide Rock State Park evening photo session in Sedona, Arizona hits all the checkboxes. You don’t need need an epic sunset to make magic for your photo session. All you need is a positive attitude and trust in your photographer to help you create an experience you always imagined having.

If you’ve never been in front of the camera I know it can seem scary. Before I ever became a photographer I was just a girl getting married and had never been in front of a camera for any sort of photoshoot before. I experienced those same feelings you have so I understand when couples get nervous. My best advice is when couples share with me their concerns about being photographed:

Just have fun with it.

If you’re choosing to marry someone one of the you’d like to spend your life with them is because you have a lot of fun with them. You can laugh with them, smile, giggle, and just be yourselves. They make you feel comfortable and confident. And that’s all you really need in order to capture the best photographs.

During their couples session at Slide Rock State Park Reed & Cassidy were no exception of embracing the “just have fun” rule.

There are so many great places in Arizona for a photoshoot but Slide Rock State Park in Sedona, Arizona was the perfect place for a couples session. So much room to roam and move around in and it would be remise if I didn’t mention those views! We were even lucky enough to get permission to enter their garden area and get some photos in and amongst their beautiful growth of flowers.
